Woke up at 515am for a cab pickup to Midway at 6am. Luckily, you cab make reservations online at 1:30 in the morning!
Found out the cab was running early … Damn, but OK as I had no idea what traffic is like. Needless to say I had a really friendly driver and the ride was smooth sailing to the airport.
Damn good idea I arrived early. A sea of people to check in at the desk for luggage and a sea of people at security ! Breezed through it. Seems midway had only one scanner? BTW, but I just went through the metal detector.
You should have seen my face when I saw I was boarding with a position of C27! if you get the C’s, your basically getting a middle seat on Southwest.
Luckily (or unluckily), I was able to get in back with an aisle and no 3rd person…until I saw 4 more people get on after everyone was seated… Yeah, you guessed it, someone just HAD to pass up all the other middle sears, all because they couldn’t find any open spots to put their luggage. Geezers.
Well, that brings you up to date. As you read this item, I’m in the air flying to San Francisco. About two hours out.
