[Please start at Part 1]
… So now feeling very depressed about this new realignment for my vacation that I was really looking forward to, I was now faced with getting home and coming back on Thursday morning to O’Hare.
I had three choices, train, Airport Express, which had door to door service in my area and cab.
Voted against the train at this late night, the Airport Express now was running downtown hotels only. So it was the cab. Yet another long, long line. I mean, when I got to the end, I was in a totally different zip code! LOL
Mr Cabbie mentioned that his credit card machine was knocked out and that it was taking 45 minutes for cabbies to call in and get cards approved. Last thing I needed to hear. Took my frustration over the days events out on him, but we compromised: he got me home quickly, we’d stop at cash station to get him cash.
After getting home, Robert and I made a few phone calls to each other and looked at schedules on how I could still savage my vacation.
To make a long story short, I was able to book a flight into San Francisco on Wednesday morning to arrive @ 1130am and booked a return with same flight as Robert for Saturday night.
In case ur still paying attention or reading this, yes, I’m forgoing the American airlines award ticket all together and had to pay “up the wazoo” to make this happen, but I have the consolation of boarding as a business guy first on the way home, hehe
…more about this trip in the next post…
