Saturday, July 2nd – I ventured out to the Century Landmark Theater to see Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work. This was a documentary shot about two years ago detailing the “a year in the life” of Joan Rivers.
It opened up a behind-the-scenes about this woman, her life, her home, how she has decided that she must keep working, rather then sit back and garden or read a book. As it was stated in the movie, she will be clawing her way off the red carpet when the time comes. She loves to entertain too much! She loves to hear people laugh! Of course her jokes sometimes are crude or even rude, but only Joan could pull it off so it’s hysterically funny.
This film is mostly showing at artsy-fartsy theaters, not in the main stream theaters – YET.
So, if you want to get a look into her life, I recommend you take some time and check it out!
